A football academy in Castellón, Spain, where ambitious student-athletes train, compete, and study. #vamosOdisea
FC Odisea Academy is an emerging global hub for sports and education, designed to unlock the full potential of ambitious student-athletes. Built on innovation, professional standards, and a holistic development model, it is becoming a destination for young people who want to excel both on the field and in the classroom.
The academy provides a complete pathway from high school to college preparation, supported by high-performance football training. With academics, personal development, and the technology that tracks and supports both, we guide student-athletes through every stage of their journey — from discovery to specialization to graduation.
Founded in Castellón by Javier Alcarria, FC Odisea set out to build a sustainable club that could rise through the Spanish pyramid while transforming the lives of young athletes. The first season ended with promotion and a move to Ciudad Deportiva FACSA.
The Academy is established: a residential program where young players from around the world train, compete, and study in Castellón.
Women's football at the club began after Javier spent two years researching why talented players leave the women's game for lack of structure. The Women's A has since earned two promotions and competes regularly against clubs like Villarreal, Valencia, and Levante.
The women's side gains an academy of its own, extending the residential program to young players coming through. Numbers took time: a Women's B followed in 2025, once there were enough players to field one.
Four men's and two women's squads form one pathway, from Men's U19, B, and C, and Women's B, to two first teams. More than 1,000 athletes from over 30 countries have trained with the club, and players have gone on to NCAA programs such as Wake Forest and USC Upstate.
Odisea captures the essence of the human and athletic journey — constant evolution, challenge, and discovery. It is the path of growth, where success is not merely a destination but the transformation that happens along the way.
The Shield
Inspired by a gladiator's armor. Greatness is not built in comfort, but through perseverance.
The Colors
Black and white, from the philosophy of yin and yang: balance between ambition and humility, effort and recovery.
The Geometry
Simple at first glance, deliberately symbolic: order, focus, and discipline.
Kaizen
Continuous improvement through small, consistent progress. Excellence is built one step at a time: 1% better every day.
Every player has a unique ceiling. The three pillars are worked on together, every day, through the club's specialized departments.

Building the elite athlete: sport-specific conditioning optimizes speed, strength, and durability for the demands of the modern game.

Total ball control: the fundamental mechanics every player needs to carry out tactical decisions with precision.

Developing thinking players: spatial awareness, game-reading, and split-second decisions under the pressure of competition.
A Mediterranean city of about 170,000 people. Sunshine most of the year, and Valencia an hour down the coast.

A complex purpose-built for high-performance athletes, minutes from the Mediterranean, with professional pitches, locker rooms, a gym, and rooms for video analysis.

Enough city to enjoy life off the pitch, without the distractions of a major metropolis, so football stays the focus.

A short walk from the club offices, and the second training session of the day: players come in the morning to activate, and again in the afternoon to build strength under the technical staff.

Where the academic side of the day happens, a little away from the pitches — and where the club runs its physiotherapy service.

Modern apartments in one of the most connected parts of Castellón, a short walk from the club offices, the gym, and the partner restaurant.
Coaches, physiotherapists, teachers, and the people who run the club day to day. They come from a range of countries and professional backgrounds, and a few came through the pathway themselves.
